 In Britain, one of the best days of the year is 31 October. They celebrate Halloween, a feast for the dead. In this day the forces of the dead return to earth. People believe that it was necessary to fight against the forces to survive. They had bonfires, apples, nuts, pumpkins, costumes.......

 Words about Halloween:

 witch: bruja.

 owl: buho. 

spider: araña. 

ghost:fantasma.

 skeleton: esqueleto.

 bat: murciélago.

 pumpkin: calabaza 

trick: truco.

 treat:trato.

 sweets: caramelos.

 Trick or treating: It's a celebration for children, they go in costume from house to house asking for treats such as candy or money with the question: trick or treat? In this custom the child performs some sort of trick: sings a song, tell a ghost history......to earn the treats.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was the pre-eminent political and ideological leader of India during the Indian independence movement. Pioneering the use of non-violent resistance, he founded his doctrine of nonviolent. Gandhi led India to its independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. Gandhi is often referred to as Mahatma. In India, he is also called Bapu (or "Father") and officially honoured as the Father of the Nation.

Gandhi was assassinated on 30 January 1948, by Nathuram Godse, a Hindu nationalist who felt Gandhi was sympathetic to the Muslims.

PEACE DAY

The importance of this day is to point out the tolerance, solidarity, respect for human rights, non violence and peace. And the importance of schools as instruments of peace and understanding between people of different formation, race, culture and religion. January 30 is the anniversary of the death of the spiritual and national Indian leader, Mahatma Gandhi, murdered by a fanatic
